It has a large membership of individuals and institutions involved in the area of training and development of Human Resource from Government, Public and Private Sector Organizations & Enterprises; Educational and Training Institutions and other Professional Bodies. The Society is affiliated to the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO), Geneva.

Indian Journal for Training & Development
Indian Journal for Training and Development (IJTD) is the official publication of Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), New Delhi. ISTD was established in the year 1971 as a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 to promote a better and effective utilization of human resources/ manpower through education, training and development in the fields of education, agriculture, industry, commerce, infrastructures and services etc., and for achieving this ISTD organizes training and development programs in different parts of the country. It is a highly professional publication with a wide readership in India and abroad.
