Managing Training Process
COURSE OVERVIEW
Emergence of global economy has resulted in greater organization investment in employee’s continuous learning. Only organizations that are dedicated to continuous learning are expected to grow and thrive. This course provides students with an overview of important concepts related training and development (T&D). Theoretical ideas and practical concerns involved in employee T&D in organizations are explored.COURSE OBJECTIVES

COURSE CONTENT
Module 1: Preparation of Training Plan
Training Process:
Training process flow chart; Training areas, training topics and target groups; Training strategy – Offsite or Onsite – Online or Offline; Setting learning objectives and learning points; Sequencing topics; Instructional strategy.
Training methods – Attributes of good training program and training plan.
Module 2: Resource Planning
Training Materials:
eveloping training materials – Trainer’s and Trainee’s manuals; Trainer – KRAs for an effective trainer; Training facilities and equipment – Training room; Furniture and its set-up – Different seating arrangements and their pros and cons; Equipment/technology required at training facility – Facilities for digital learning, communication, equipment for practice; Stay and hospitality.
Module 3: Budget Preparation
What is a budget, Need and importance of a budget, Planning the Budget. Identification of training costs – Classification of costs – Components of training budget. Preparation of training budget – Monitoring budget – Analysis of budget vs. actual expenditure. Estimation of budgeted profit or loss.
Module 4: Marketing of Training/ Nominations
Definition / Objective of Marketing; Knowing your Audience, Digital marketing; Marketing the training; Benefits of traditional marketing; Benefits of digital marketing; Developing promotional material/content; Choosing the right marketing mix; Preparing and implementing marketing plan for achieving nominations, Collaborate with Marketing Department and Management.
Module 5: Event Management
Training implementation – Preparation – Pre-training checklist – Dry run – Pilot program – Start of training – Ice-breaker – First impression – Communication tips – Dealing with different participant personalities – Coordination with trainers – Feedback and monitoring – Responding to trainer’s/trainee’s needs – Post-training engagement with trainees – Concluding the training program
successfully.
Module 7: Revision Class
Course revision/Discussion of question papers/Peer Learning
Mode/Inclusive Methods in classes: Flipped Classroom, Whiteboard, Case Study Discussions, Lectures/Demonstrations,
Audio-Visuals, Role Play, Class Discussion/Interactivity, Class Quizzes, Practice and QnA.
In addition, Faculty may adopt other methods as applicable.
